METHOD / EVIDENCE MODEL
Every number needs a chain.
RobotScope separates what a manufacturer says from what a reader can safely compare.
Manufacturer evidence
Official datasheets, technical documentation, product pages, filings, and other sources keep their publisher and classification.
Observation
Original wording, source date, configuration, and capture record remain attached where available.
Verification
Values pass checks for direct support, scope, units, model applicability, version, and qualifiers.
Canonical fact
The selected fact keeps its qualifiers and records conflicts without erasing competing observations.
Passport v1.1
The Site reads the versioned publication output. Each published value links to its evidence panel and original source.
Unknown is a real state.
Unknown does not mean zero, not applicable, or a guessed estimate. If approved evidence does not establish a value, the passport keeps it unknown and shows why the value is not established.
Scopes stay separate.
Per-hand DOF, whole-robot DOF, heavy-lifting runtime, payload types, and operating schedules are not interchangeable fields.
Conflicts remain inspectable.
A selected fact does not erase conflicting observations. The evidence panel presents the selected claim, conflicting quote, source details, and resolution when available.
Evidence not yet traced.
A publication candidate that fails its evidence gate is withheld and counted separately from a canonical unknown. Unsupported values are not filled in to complete a card or comparison.
PASSPORT V1.1
Public specifications come from a versioned evidence contract.
The Site adapter reads generated Passport v1.1 files and their traceability summary. It does not reconstruct facts from raw research records. Evidence panels show only provenance available in that publication output, while stable identifiers stay in an optional technical-details section.
